    Barbie Gregory

     Barbie has been a member of BACA for 10 years and a swim team parent for 7 years. Barbie swam at JMU on a swim scholarship, taught swim lessons and coached swim clinics at Riverside Wellness (now ACAC) for 11 years, and trains with the Masters Swim Team so she comes highly qualified professionally as well as knowing our program from being a parent. We welcome one of our own to our coaching staff.

    Blue Streaks Swim Team Registration

    What to bring on May 4:
    Registration forms (available April 1 at www.bonairca.com ) Check payable to BACA: 1 CHILD $85; 2 CHILDREN $170; 3 CHILDREN $205; 4 or MORE $225
    The girls suit was discontinued, so a new suit was selected. The boys suits will remain plain navy. (Girls/$49.99 +tax; Boys/31.99 +tax) . If your last year’s suit still works you may still wear it. Disco Sports will be at the meeting selling suits or you can buy directly from them on your own time.

    Team Parent

    We are delighted to welcome back Maribeth Cowen in her role as Team Parent. Swim team runs weekday mornings for swimmers who are 4 years through high school. This is a great opportunity for your children to become better swimmers and for you to visit with friends! Did you know we usually have 85 cheerful and cheering volunteers working home meets and 55 at away meets? No wonder the meets are so organized and fun!! We need each family to volunteer for 3 slots—but don’t hesitate to sign up for more. We love help! Volunteer opportunities include training for referee, starter, strokes/turns, working swim meets, and helping at swim team social events. There are jobs that can be done from home so get to the sign up and grab your 3 top choice volunteer slots before you register.
